Oleg Menshikov was awarded the prize and the diploma of the "Moscow Seasons" Festival for his work in "Caligula".
Petr Fomenko's staging of "Caligula" at the Mossovet Theatre became a theatre legend. Having agreed
to play Roman emperor Caligula, Menshikov betrayed his most attractive actor's feature and fearlessly
became "anti-Menshikov". The Roman dictator performed by him was a devilish mix of bloody cruelty
and lyricism, impotence and powerfulness, treachery and sincerity… He lives trying to fight evil with evil,
having no idea that he himself will become the first victim in this combat.
