Both the author of the play and the actors, Oleg Menshikov and Alexander Feklistov, least of all aimed to reproduce the life or creative work of Nizhinsky. They seemed to strive after quite the opposite - to show, or rather just imply, for it's a great mystery beyond the reach of mere mortals, the inner world of the genius, the Artist - "a God's part", wise and naive, the true Poet of dance, irrational and inconceivable.
